(I Think I Love You Animal Foundation,Inc Rescues former race horse)

APRIL   , MASSAPEQUA, NY  On March 3, 2022, I Think I Love You Animal Foundation Inc. (ITILYAF) was informed that Speed Khaleesi, a 7 year-old thoroughbred mare, was set to be sent to a kill pen and had only 5 days to be rescued.  Although it is unclear how or why Speed was placed on death row , ITILYAF swiftly came to the rescue, purchasing her on March 4.  Following ITILYAF’s rescue, Rick Schosberg and NYRA arranged for Speed’s transportation and quarantine.  Speed Khaleesi will live out her remaining years and new career back where she was born at McMahon’s of Saratoga Thoroughbreds, LLC. Speed Khaleesi had an active racing career until 2020 and had 3 wins, including at Delaware Park on 7/8/2019.

“The Foundation saves horses and other animals from unknown futures” said horse trainer and Foundation board member Gary Contessa.

“On behalf of all our board members we thank everyone for their generous support. This is truly what our mission is all about” said Barb Collentine, President of I Think I Love You Animal Foundation.

ITILYAF couldn’t have saved Speed Khaleesi without the help and support from the people at Moore's Equines for Rescue who made this a smooth and rewarding transition towards the Foundation's goal and the horse’s future. We also thank Rick Schosberg of NYRA for their help with the transportation and quarantine of this beautiful mare and the McMahons of Saratoga Thoroughbreds LLC  for providing a loving forever home.
